Billing
and Payments
Gateway
now offers Quick Pay - a secure way to pay your patient statements online. No checks to write, no stamps to buy, no mail delivery
delays. Click here to access our online bill payment system.
All
patients are expected, at a minimum, to pay all applicable copayments,
deductibles, and other non-covered portions of their bill before
being discharged from the hospital. The hospitals financial
counselors will assist patients in this process.
For
patients who dont have adequate insurance, Gateway Health
System accepts cash, check or money order. We also accept VISA,
Mastercard or Discover.
It
is not possible to extend a monthly payment option for payment of
hospital charges. Any terms extended beyond 90 days requires completion
of a brief financial review, and all information is subject to credit,
income, and employment verification.
Patients
are responsible for providing current and accurate information regarding
third-party insurance companies, specific forms, or additional documentation
(claim forms, authorizations, referrals, etc.) required by their
insurance company. This information is required at the time of admission
or registration. Failure to present the proper insurance information
will result in the patients account being classified as "Self
Pay," which makes the patient fully responsible for payment.
Questions
about insurance coverage should be directed to our financial counselors
at 931-221-2700.
